Nissan's NEXT global transformation plan is taking shape as the company continues its path towards a more sustainable automotive future. Following in the footsteps of the groundbreaking Nissan LEAF, the all-new 2023 ARIYA represents a cornerstone of Nissan's initiative and is the first model to exhibit the automaker's new electric brand identity. With its versatile accommodations, refined style, and practical electric range, the Nissan ARIYA is a compact all-electric crossover fusing "the best of Nissan design, technology, performance, and sustainability for a new era."
Performance & Range
Standard power for the 2023 Nissan ARIYA comes from an AC synchronous motor generating 238 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque. With battery capacities of 63 to 87 kWh, ARIYAÂ provides an estimated driving ranges from 215 to 300 miles depending on the selected trim. The ARIYAÂ will also be available with Nissan's e-4ORCE dual-motor powertrain, which generates an all-wheel-driving 389 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque. Deliveries for the optional powertrain will begin later in the launch cycle but are available for order today.
The Nissan ARIYAÂ is capable of fast-charging at 130 kW, which can refill the battery 80% in as little as 20 minutes.
Design & Accommodations
The Nissan ARIYAÂ exhibits beauty in minimalism, forgoing the sharp and boxy angles of typical crossovers for unbroken curves and clean character lines. Even with softer geometry, the ARIYAÂ exhibits assertive character, with a prominent and futuristic shield-like front fascia and narrowed, jewel-type headlight clusters that neatly assimilate with the frontend design and seem to disappear when not illuminated.
On the inside, the ARIYAÂ is equally refined, showcasing an ultra-modern, minimalist cabin layout with quality materials and seamlessly integrated advanced tech. Space abounds throughout the cabin, thanks to a completely flat floor and ample headroom. Slim-profile Zero Gravity seats provide excellent ergonomics and comfort and add to the feeling of openness. With all seats in use, ARIYA retains 22.8 cubic feet for cargo. And with the second-row folded flat, available storage capacity increases to nearly 60 cubic feet.
Technology & Safety
A next-gen vehicle deserves next-gen tech, and the 2023 Ariya certainly delivers. The dash is adorned with expansive real estate in the form of a 12.3-inch touchscreen and 12.3-inch digital instrument panel joined along a single plan for easier viewing and more convenient access. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, providing clutter-free integration of useful smartphone apps and features like hands-free communications, maps and directions, streaming and stored media, and much more.
The 2023 Ariya also offers the latest iteration of Nisan's ProPILOT Assist 2.0 autonomous driving system, enabling true hands-free operation under certain conditions. Additionally, all models come standard Nissan Safety Shield® 360 driver-assistance technologies, including:
